THE CORD REEL Manage portable power cords quicker, easier and more efficiently with GFE's complete line of heavy-duty cord reels. The GFE reel allows fast, easy deployment and retraction of extension cords without twisting or knotting thus, prolonging cord life. GFE's Live Cord Reels come in three (3) basic models; the ECR-18, ECR-15 and the ECR-10. All models have a six (6) foot, 10/3 - 300 volt SJEOW pigtail. The pigtail can be wired directly into an out let box or supplied with a plug as an option. All three (3) models are also available with a Beta light head and gang box installed. These models arte reverse wired cord reels, which allows a plug on the cord to be plugged into a power source while the cord reel is carried to the fire ground or work site. The Cord Reel Light allows the scene to be illuminated while providing a receptacle for additional tools or lights. The Cord Reel Light comes in several variations with either 500 or 750 Watt low profile Beta Light heads. All GFE Cord Reels rewind manually. GFE Cord Reels have three (3) extremely durable, continuous duty, live slip rings. There is a separate slip ring for each electrical conductor - as per NFPA recommendations. The slip rings are made from heavy-duty solid brass to handle either 120 or 240 volts and up to 30 amps. Continuously. There are NO open live terminals at the center of the reel hub to expose personnel to electrical shocks. The power from the internal slip rings is provided through three (3) 10 AWG wires. The wire leads from the slip ring hub, passes through a rubber grommet in the slip ring cover and is equipped with three (3) crimp on butt connectors. With three (3) simple connections your existing cord can be installed on your new cord reel, or GFE will supply your new cord reel with new cable and cord ends. This makes your new cord ready to use when you receive it. There is no charge installation Like all GFE Manufacturing products, our cord reels are heavy-duty and constructed to last a lifetime. The disks are 16-gauge steel fitted with half-inch wide bearings. The frame is made from heavy-duty steel tubing and not iron pipe. The cord reel handle features a black heavy-duty cushion grip. Both the disks and frame are powder painted bright red for a long lasting tough finish. Each foot is fitted with cap plugs to prevent water and dirt from collecting in the feet. The reel disk have rolled edges and are flared, creating a funneling effect to aid in extending and rewinding cords of any size. GFE will also supply and install as an option, connectors on the reel hub power leads from the slip rings in your NEMA configuration - NFPA Recommendation. There are NO brushes or brush holders to wear out or break. All Non-Live GFE Storage Reels have the same high quality and durability as the live cord reel except without any of the power components and are available in either 18" (NCR-18) or 15" (NCR-15). All Non-Live GFE storage Reels are manually rewound and are ideal for the storage of power cords, or anything else that needs to be rolled up for storage. Pulling off or taking up portable power cord has never been easier or faster; rolled up items will not end up all twisted, tangled or knotted and ready for use at a moments notice.
