Paul Conway Leather Fronts

Paul Conway Shields are meant to last. The printing is hot-stamped in colors or foil. Every letter is seared into the surface of the leather, like a brand. There may be easier, or faster ways of doing it. But we wouldn't put our name on them -- or yours.

 
 

Precision die-cutting produces the clean, sharp edge of a Paul Conway Shield. After about 1,000 cuts our dies are replaced -- long before they lose their edge. The result is a uniform regularity from shield to shield, though the individual graining of the leather gives each a distinctive quality.

 
 

There is an authenticity to a Paul Conway Shield. Their 6" Shields, for instance, are true to tradition in their hand-selected hides. Their all-leather construction that needs no stiffener. Their meticulous detailing. But it goes beyond what you can see to what you can feel. To hold a Paul Conway Shield is to know that the hands which crafted it have also battled flame and smoke. Where everything must be genuine.

Paul Conway Shields must also pass inspection at every stage. Our 4" model features a Velcro® backing that is rated at 20 pounds per square inch and has been endurance-tested for 1,000 pulls. It is designed for Phoenix Technology and newer style helmets, but still made the traditional hand-crafted way.  Anything less than the best, whether on a run or on a helmet, doesn't cut it.
