throughout our country. The first America's Cup Race
in the United States is held in Newport, Rhode Island. Babe
Ruth signs $80,000 contract with the Yankees.
With $500 cash and a $4,000 bank loan Fire-End
Products is formed in New York City by Anthony J. Sposato Sr. Fire-End
Products primary business is the selling and servicing of fire
extinguishers. One of Fire-End Products'
first customers is the New York Daily News on 42nd street. Fire-End
Products is also a major supplier of municipal fire fighting
supplies to various New England dealers.

1946 -
The first "autobank" (banking
by car) is established in Chicago. In a speech at Fulton,
Missouri, Churchill coins the phrase "Iron
Curtain". First night game at Yankee
stadium (Senators 2, Yanks 1)
Upon the death of Anthony Sposato Sr., Fire-End
Products is taken over by the founder's sons; Anthony and Joseph
Sposato. Fire-End Products grows and
becomes a dominant leader in the field of fire protection products.
THE YEAR IS 1959 -
Alaska and Hawaii
become the 49th and 50th states. The St. Lawrence
Seaway brings ocean shipping to the Great Lakes. Vince
Lombardi signs a 5 year contract to coach the Green Bay Packers.
Fire-End Products purchases
all shares of Croker Fire Prevention.
Two old and trusted names are combined to form Fire-End
& Croker Corporation.
