The Legacy 5™ balances the vital factors of safety, comfort, and cost. The modern styling of the Legacy 5™ helmet offers lighter weight, lower profile, and smoother angles than traditional style helmets. It has a tough, durable fiberglass shell with excellent thermal resistance.

Color molded into shell
RTM molding provides color pigmentation throughout the shell for
lasting good looks. The impact cap has a Lexan^®/ABS dome
encapsulated with urethane foam and covered with KEVLAR^® for
outstanding thermal resistance.

Unique size and fit adjustment options
They've engineered a complete system of adjustments into the Legacy 5™
helmet to provide maximum comfort and a custom fit. The patented
Center of Gravity™ adjustment system allows you to adjust the center of
gravity to your preference and keeps it there. The ratcheting headband
easily adjusts from size 5½ to 9½ and their are three positions for
height adjustment.

The Legacy 5's™ headband is also cushioned with foam and covered
with sleeve leather for additional comfort.

High temperature WaterGuard™ face shield
A lightweight 4" slim profile APEC face shield is available with the patented
Safety-Set brackets that allow the faceshield to be securely fixed in the up or
down position. The spring loaded-brackets allow easy adjustment with one
gloved hand.

When set in the down position the patented WaterGuard™ faceshield prevents
debris or liquids from passing between the shell and faceshield.

Their are also models available with thumbwheel adjustment faceshields, or
NFPA goggles.

Chin strap
Easy-to-adjust, quick-release chin strap with postman's slide.

Ear covers
NOMEX®/flannel ear covers for added neck/ear protection. Other materials
available upon request as replacement parts.

Shield holder
Hand-carved brass eagle leather shield holder.

Reflective trim
2" x 2½" Lime/Yellow 3M Scotchlite™ reflective material. This offers superior
heat resistance and delivers higher performance than competitive reflective
materials.
