Construction: Static Kernmantle Sheath: 16 Carrier braided, nylon, with S & Z strands, to yield a torque-free, well balanced rope. 100% Nylon. Core: Block creel, meaning all core strands are continuous from end to end, no core splices for high strength and reliability. 100% Nylon. Elongation: Less than 2% of stretch at 200 lbf (90kg) working  load and less than 20% at failure. Tested and classified per the Cordage Institute standard for life safety STATIC rope. Strength: Minimum breaking strengths are calculated using the 3-sigma formula as required by the NFPA 1983 standard. ½" (12.5mm) S bend strips 9100 lbf. (40.5kN). NFPA Two person rescue rope. Heat Resistance: Nylon melts at 480°F (248°C) Certification: All Rugged Rescue Ropes are tested and certified by UL to the current NFPA 1983 standards.
