Thermal Imaging Camera
The thermal imaging camera (TIC) renders infrared radiation as visible light, allowing firefighters to see areas of heat through smoke, darkness, or heat permeable barriers. Since thermal imaging cameras pick up body heat they can be used to find and rescue people trapped in areas that are not normally visible. Thermal imaging cameras can also help to identify hot spots which require further cooling. This helps to reduce re-ignition and further fire damage.
